Dried apricots: hardly any trading activity

MALATYA. The apricot market in Turkey is currently extremely quiet and there is hardly any trading taking place. Exports are also running slower than usual. This situation is expected to continue for the rest of the year.

Prices remain stable

The Turkish apricot market is currently extremely quiet and market players expect this situation to continue until the New Year. Farmgate prices have not changed as there is not much trading and are at TRY 105-110/kg for dried apricots, no 1 and TRY 90-95/kg for no 2. The jumbo varieties are trading at TRY 120/kg. Export prices also show no change and exporters highlight weak demand from overseas. Organic apricots of varieties 3 and 4 still cost 6 USD/kg.
