Dried apricots: Turkey to ship as much as 100,000 mt

MALATYA. The new 2019/20 season will start in a good month's time in Turkey. However, the 2018 crop is still being shipped.

Weekly exports at 1,500 mt
The exporters in Turkey are only receiving few enquiries for prompt shipments and the shipments taking place serve longterm contracts. At 94,000 mt, exports from Turkey have risen by nearly 4,000 mt over last year. By the end of the season the exports could reach around 100,000 mt. In 2017/18, the export volume exceeded 95,000 mt, and in 2016/17 exports ranged above 86,000 mt.
