MALATYA. There should be some considerable changes in the Turkish dried fruit market this year. After the bankruptcy of long-established, large companies, new companies will appear on the scene.

Ramadan to drive up prices

In terms of prices, there is not much happening in the Turkish dried apricot market, they are largely stable. Only dried apricots in sizes no. 1 and jumbo are slowly becoming scarce, there should be sufficient supplies of other sizes.

Prices are, however, expected to rise over the next few weeks. Demand for the Ramadan is to start soon. In addition, the production of dried apricots has declined over last year.
