MALATYA. After last year's frost disaster, Turkish apricot farmers are worried about the upcoming flowering season in March. The weather situation remains tense, and exports are not going very well either.

Weather conditions remain tense

Winter weather continues in the Turkish apricot-growing region of Malatya. According to the meteorological institute, snowfall and low temperatures are expected to continue in the coming days. Night-time temperatures are expected to be between 1 and -3°C, with daytime temperatures reaching only 3 to 5°C. These conditions continue to cause uncertainty among market players, as they may influence the further course of the season.
