BEIJING. According to Chinese traders, demand on the bean markets is relatively low, and therefore trading is rather sluggish. Hopes are pinned on tapping into new markets. Prices are showing only slight fluctuations.

Following the holiday season in China, international demand for black kidney beans remains generally weak in key consumer regions such as Europe and South-East Asia. Traders are focusing primarily on reducing existing stock levels and are only making purchases when necessary.
