BEIJING. As trade is slow to pick up in the two weeks following Chinese New Year, prices for dried beans are largely stable. Adzuki beans are, however, an exception.

Low stocks of black kidney beans

Prices for black kidney beans are currently still stable on the Chinese market. Demand is weak, but market experts estimate that it should now pick up after the festivities, which should also drive prices upwards. They are also being supported by low stocks. Conventional black kidney beans, 99.95% purity currently cost USD 1,210 per mt FOB Dalian.
