Tight controls by Turkish authorities

There are still discrepancies and misunderstandings regarding the export of Turkish dried figs and the permitted aflatoxin level. According to market players, one of the reasons for this is that the guideline value for shipments to the EU is a maximum of 10 ppm, while a maximum level of 20 ppm is permitted for shipments to the USA.
