AYDIN/TEHRAN. The Turkish dried fig market is looking positively at the 2022 crop. Barring unfavourable rainfall and extreme drought, good yields can be expected this year. Meanwhile, the upcoming harvest is putting pressure on Iranian fig prices, although exports are significantly behind last year.

Outlook is positive

The heat of the past week has affected many agricultural products, but according to market players, the development of figs in Aydin was not affected. However, the weather in August is crucial for the production of dried figs. If it is not excessively dry, traders expect very good yields this year.
