Dried figs: BBC promotes Turkish export products

AYDIN. To raise awareness of Turkish export products such as nuts and dried fruit, BBC World News is working with the Turkish Exporters Assembly. The dried fig market remains quiet.

No price changes

As in previous weeks, the dried fig market is quiet and demand remains weak. As there have been no changes in farmgate prices and they remain at TRY 55-60/kg, export prices are also holding at a stable level and are at USD 6.66/kg FOB Izmir for dried figs, Lerida, no 2. Exporters are not eager to sell their goods and sign new contracts at the moment, so there is little activity here.
