Dried figs: buyers could be left empty-handed

AYDIN. Commodity prices in the Turkish dried fig market are skyrocketing, and export prices are expected to follow soon. This season there may not be enough produce to meet demand.

Further price increases expected

The lack of raw materials is causing chaos in the Turkish dried fig market. According to traders, neither conventional nor organic quality is available. The price indications for the few items that are still being traded have shot up and currently stand at TRY 250/kg.
