According to market players, there are no longer any export-grade dried figs on the Turkish market. Exporters are now faced with the question of how the situation will develop in the new season. For the second marketing year in a row, there have been frequent rejections of dried fig shipments at the borders due to elevated aflatoxin and ochratoxin levels – particularly for exports to Europe.
