AYDIN/TEHRAN. Turkish market players welcome the regular rainfall, which provides the Aydin growing region with sufficient moisture. Iran, meanwhile, is recording good export figures.

Favourable weather conditions

Market players welcome the regular rain showers that have provided Aydin with sufficient moisture this spring. If this weather trend continues in the coming months, farmers could start artificial irrigation later, which would reduce their cultivation costs and thus export prices.

In Turkey, the upcoming elections are omnipresent as an overriding theme. Prices are expected to remain relatively stable until the new crop arrives, with only exchange rate fluctuations and changing crop forecasts allowing for significant changes.
