Dried figs: farmers concerned about weather fluctuations

Farmgate prices remain high

So far, Turkish farmers report a good growing season for figs. However, they are concerned about the rapidly changing weather conditions. Rain is forecast for the Aydin growing region in the coming days, which could have a negative effect on the quality of the fruit now that the fruit set has developed, and possibly even lead to a lower yield.
