AYDIN. Pollination is about to start and first estimates for this year's fig crop will be issued at the end of June. The current crop is completely sold out.

Weather is decisive

Weather conditions have been really good so far. Some rain was reported over the weekend and temperatures range at 15-18C (59-64F) at night and at 29-34C (84-93F) throughout the day. Forecasts predict that the weather will turn warmer in the next few days. No exceptional challenges prevail for the fig trees. The farmers are busy preparing for pollination, which is about to start. This will provide a good idea of what yields may look like at the end of June at the earliest. Yet, it should be noted that these estimates only give a first impression
