Stink bug harbours great risks

The new fig season is now starting in the Turkish province of Aydin; dried figs are by far the most important export product in this region. The local authorities are therefore advising growers to use traps to protect their trees from infestation by the marmorated stink bug at an early stage. The traps are temporarily removed a week before the pollination period and then remain in the fig groves until the end of the harvest.
