Weather is decisive

Farmers state that the figs are developing well and that the hot weather only has a minor impact. Nevertheless, the weather will remain decisive over the next few weeks as any changes may have an adverse impact when the fruits are laid out to dry. Prices for the new crop will be issued once the harvest has started and the prices for last years crop vary widely. No 1 Lerida dried figs are, for instance trading in a range of EUR 4.05-4.90/kg FOB Izmir.
