AYDIN/TEHRAN. In the coming weeks, weather conditions will prove particularly crucial for this year's dried fig production. The harvest of fresh figs is in full swing in both Turkey and Iran.

Cold could affect quality

Farmers in the growing regions of Aydin are currently keeping a particularly close eye on the weather conditions. At the beginning of the week, there was light rainfall and accompanying temperature drops, but not to an extent that would be harmful to the figs.
