Dried figs: growers rely on help from TMO

AYDIN. Turkish dried fig producers are hoping for the TMO to stabilise prices in the market. Experts, meanwhile, expect fig exports to increase compared to last year.

Intervention urgently desired

Turkish dried fruit producers are insisting that the TMO participates in the dried fig market with intervention buying in a timely manner. Commodity prices have declined again this week and farmers want assurance that selling their fruit is still profitable.
