AYDIN. The figs in the Turkish region of Aydin are developing well thanks to high temperatures, and under ideal conditions the harvest can start in mid-August. Meanwhile, the holiday week has massively slowed down the pace of exports.

Outlook remains positive

In the Turkish fig growing regions, the weather is optimal and the fruits are developing well. Market players are confident that dried fig production can achieve a good yield this year, as long as the weather does not throw a spanner in the works.
