... 827 metric tonnes in the first week of March, which is a 40% rise over the same period in 2019. A total of 44,980 metric tonnes have been exported since the beginning of the season, which is around 18% more than last year. Market players report continued good demand, which is supporting prices. Commodity exchange prices have risen as supplies are melting away. Export prices have, however, remained stable for the time being. This is partly due to the weaker Turkish lira.
