AYDIN. Market players report that there are no more dried figs available on the free market, as all stocks are now with exporters. The exporters are still holding back with price offers.

Financial market is crucial

According to current reports, there are no more Turkish dried figs available on the open market, as the all the raw materials are now in the hands of exporters. Farmgate prices are therefore not expected to change much and exporters remain reluctant to offer prices. However, they indicate that prices could well rise in the near future and that the situation on the Turkish financial market plays a decisive role in this. Currency fluctuations in particular could have a noticeable impact on price development.
