AYDIN. Weekly exports of dried figs exceed last year's level. While exporters should be sufficiently covered for future deliveries, commodity stocks are slowly running short.

Organic figs are attractive for buyers and farmers

Demand is good and could even increase further due to possible export delays for Iranian dates and dried fruit. However, there are hardly any commodities left on the free market, most of the goods are in the exporters' warehouses. As a result, despite the weakening Turkish Lira, export prices rose again this week by USD 100 per metric tonne.
