MALATYA. A recent report on dried apricot exports in the first half of 2025 shows that the export value has fallen by 18%. Overall, the market is quiet due to a lack of goods.

Drying has begun

Turkish market players report that the situation on the dried apricot market has not changed. There is no activity to report and the extremely small quantities of apricots that could be harvested this year are now drying; night frosts in early April destroyed 98% of the crop. Currently, only old stocks are available, and at most half of all companies will start operations in the new season, and even then only if they receive corresponding orders. According to the Turkish weather service, temperatures are between 19-22°C at night and up to 39&deg
