AYDIN/TEHRAN. Weather conditions are too dry in Turkey, but fig exports have picked up, Yet, the opposite is the case in Iran.

Traders buy large volumes

Weather conditions have remained adverse in Aydin. Not only are temperatures too high but water is also in short supply in many parts of the region. The fruitful region is highly important for Turkey but the southeastern parts are witnessing the driest period in fifty years. Farmers are firmly convinced that a water shortage will be inevitable in summer if it fails to rain.
