AYDIN. There are hardly any dried fruit traders who are currently offering figs offensively, they are mainly reacting to concrete requests.

Depending on the quality, the raw goods price level ranges between 8 and 14 TRY/kg. The prices should continue to rise during the course of the season, as the already low availability is joined by the increasing risk of aflatoxins, which is associated with longer storage periods and has already often caused problems and rejected deliveries in this season.

Difficult export situation

The lacking availability of marketable dried figs in EU quality and the higher price level are among the reasons why exports have declined noticeably compared to last year.
