BRUSSELS. Revised crop estimates dominate the scene for wheat. The EU is flashing its teeth in response to Trump’s tariffs, which will affect corn and soybeans. Canada’s canola is receiving a double blow from the US and China.

Revised estimates for wheat

Revised projections have emerged for wheat with the USDA lifting the global production estimate for 2024/2025 by 3.4 million mt to 797.2 million mt in March as compared with February and the end-of-season stock estimate by 2.5 million mt to 260.1 million mt. Projections for Argentina’s crop range 800,000 mt higher at 18.5 million mt, for Australia’s crop 2.1 million mt higher at 34.1 million mt and for Ukraine’s crop 500,000 mt higher at 23.4 million mt.
