Grains and oilseeds: White House deals heavy blow to US soy

BRUSSELS. European wheat has only slightly recovered. Confusing White House Communications over the deal with China have dealt US soybeans a heavy blow. Corn exports are picking up in Brazil. Rapeseed futures have dipped.

Only slight recovery for wheat

Western European wheat is only showing slight signs of recovery as the large crops in Argentina and Australia are adding pressure. The Argentine Buenos Aires Grain Exchange (BAGE) has thereby lifted the production estimate by 1.5 million mt to 25.5 million mt. This exceeds the previous record of 22.4 million mt in 2021/2022.
