MOSCOW. 134 million MT of grain had been harvested in Russia by the end of 2017 - an absolute record

The Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation Alexander Tkachev said in the middle of January 2018 that by the end of 2017 134 million MT of grain had been harvested in Russia, thus setting an absolute record. At the same time domestic consumption is a maximum of 80 million MT, which leads to the formation of a large volume of surplus.

"A record grain harvest of 134 million MT, obtained last year, will allow us to export up to 45-47 million MT of grain this season," Tkachev said.
