Competitors respond to market giant

While Ferrero has disrupted proceedings, buyers in the eurozone have turned a bit lucky this week. Issue is that the market started off on a stable footing at the start of the year, which changed as soon as Ferrero jumped into action. Trouble is not only that the confectionary giant gave Durak findik, one of Turkey’s leading hazelnut exporters, a tender for high-quality Çakıl hazelnuts but also that the purchasing bid of TRY 132.50/kg ranged well above market price.
