TMO and buyers stir irritation

With only two months left until the start of the new season many intriguing things are happing in the market at present. Not only did the lira hit a new all-time low of 33.06 against the US dollar last week but Turkey’s grain board, the TMO, is also stirring new irritation. According to estimates the state-run organisation may still hold up to 100,000 mt of hazelnuts and stakeholders are impatiently waiting for stocks to be sold before the arrival of the new crop.
