ORDU. Demand continues at above average levels this season. The buyers are currently very much interested in late delivery dates and the weekly export volumes are impressive.

Buying for the second half of the season

Since the start of the season, Turkey as on average shipped at least 10,000 metric tonnes of hazelnuts without shell every week, and the export volume now stands at around 90,000 mt. Demand is by no means subsiding, whereas raw nut supplies are declinein. This is why the exporters are currently falling back on the stocks, they have purchased as a precautionary measure. Long-term contracts running into the second and third quarters of 2020 are also in high demand. Buyers do, however, beed to reckon with considerable surcharges
