ORDU. The new price increase in the Turkish raw material market shows that the farmers are still not satisfied. The rising prices not only have an impact on exports, but also on the Turkish domestic market.

Farmers aim for even higher prices

The Turkish hazelnut farmers have reached their first intermediate target: the farmgate prices have risen to TRY 25.00/kg this week. However, according to market players, the producers are not yet satisfied and are aiming for a level of TRY 30/kg. The exchange rate could put a damper on the farmers' ability to meet this target.
