Hazelnuts: suppliers assess new INC crop estimates

ORDU. Turkey’s hazelnut suppliers are testing the market at the World Nut and Dried Fruit Congress (INC), which is coming to an end in Dubai. While the TMO’s anticipated price policy will hardly prove sustainable, Ferrero stands much better chances in 2022/2023. Domestic demand has, meanwhile, picked up in Turkey.

World will not go hungry on hazelnuts

Industry representatives are assessing the supply and demand situation for hazelnuts at the INC. While special attention is being paid to Turkey, Italy and Azerbaijan and Georgia, it should be noted that production may turn either way in the USA. Issue is that last year’s ice storm destroyed many hazelnut trees in Georgia.
