Hazelnuts: The TMO is out of the race

ORDU. The hazelnut exports from Turkey have declined by 10.6% over last year in the first three months of the season.

 

More than 90,000 mt have been exported

The hazelnut market in Turkey is rather quiet. Buyers, traders and farmers alike are holding back on enquiries and offers. In addition, it should be noted that the Turkish lira has gained 30% in value against the euro in the last three months. Since the start of the season, around 90,337 mt of hazelnut kernels have been shipped, 10.6% less than in the same period last year.
