Millet: Ukraine increases shipments to the EU

DALIAN/BRUSSELS. Chinese growers are holding back their supplies, but buying interest is also moderate. Meanwhile, the EU has increased its millet imports by 22% this year.

Buyers are holding back

Chinese millet growers are holding back their goods, which is limiting availability on the market. Prices are therefore not expected to fall despite the lower demand. However, market players also do not fear a price increase for the time being. In recent weeks, prices have remained relatively stable and hulled millet is still being traded at prices of USD 1,260/mt FOB Dalian, while offers for organic millet are at a level of USD 1,320/mt FOB Dalian.
