Mustard seeds: Prices are higher than expected in Canada

OTTAWA/MOSCOW. Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada has recently issued the August report. Estimates have been revised for 2018/2019 and for 2019/2020.

Wide price range for new crop

According to Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada as much as 8,000 metric tonnes were imported. Intitial estimates ranged lower at 7,000 metric tonnes. Consequently, the supplies for 2018/2019 range at 235,000 metric tonnes. In addition, the average selling price is now also estimated higher at CAD 690 per metric tonne, whereas intial estimates ranged at CAD 685.
