ATLANTA. Year-on-year, US pecan shipments rose by more than 26% during the first nine months of the season. This is motivating farmers to increase acreage to meet the high demand.

US pecan shipments have increased by more than 26% compared to last season, reaching nearly 169,644 mt for the period September 2020 to May 2021, Pecan Report reports, citing the latest report from the American Pecan Council (APC). The APC has been collecting data on exports, domestic deliveries and production volumes since 2016.
