Pine nuts: improved raw nut supplies

BEIJING. Raw pine nut supplies are still very much limited in China. Some market players are now, however, more optimistic.

Prices firm at a high level

Pine nut exporters still lack raw materials in China. Concerns are even being voiced that contracts cannot be met. Imports are, however, helping and prices have stabilised at a high level. Pinus sibirica, 950 pcs/100g are trading at USD 17,300/mt CFR Hamburg and the smaller Pinus sibirica,nuts 1,100 pcs/100g are at USD 16,800/mt CFR Hamburg. Shipments are, however, only available as of December.
