SACRAMENTO/TEHRAN. US supplies are more limited than expected. Market players report crop delays in Iran and Turkey. Meanwhile, Spain intends to step up production.

Limited US supplies

Market players report that the US harvest has started obe week late and will probably not be completed until mid-October. Since large volumes were shipped over the last few months, the carry-over stocks are smaller than expected. Estimates have been cut back from 70,000 metric tonnes to 60,000 metric tonnes. In addition, the quality is not particularly good.
