Wheat: Algeria and Egypt announce new tenders

FRANKFURT. The wheat market declined in the USA, tended slightly weaker in France, but again showed strong growth in Germany. Algeria and Egypt launched new wheat tenders yesterday.

In the USA, wheat prices declined again after a former increase. At 544.75 cents per bushel in the morning, the front date was 4 cents lower than yesterday. At 246,988 metric tonnes, export controls for US wheat remained 48.8 % below the last year's. Still, seasonal US wheat exports of 12.615 million metric tonnes exceeded the last year's by 19.2 %. Abares also corrected the Australian wheat crop from 19.2 million metric tonnes in September to 15.85 million metric tonnes, compared to 17.3 million metric tonnes last year. Therefore, buyers of Australian wheat in
