AYDIN. Turkish dried fruit exporters prepare for the export start on 30 September. Meanwhile, there is massive disagreement over prices for the new crop.

Tariş increases purchase prices by 30%

According to Mustafa Bircan, chairman of the Tariş Fig Agricultural Sales Cooperatives Union, Tariş is offering its members around 30% higher purchase prices for their dried figs this year. For A1 qualities (36-40 fruits/kg) Tariş wants to pay TRY 30/kg and for A11 qualities - with 101-130 fruits/kg the smallest ones - TRY 10/kg.
