Wheat: demand declines
In Russia, 88% of the planned winter cereal sowings were completed. At 16.9 million ha, Russia is expected to increase cultivation by 900,000 ha. In many places, the rainfall over the weekend was not sufficient to ensure good pre-winter development. Sovecon increased the almost completely harvested wheat crop in Russia by 1.1 million mt to 84.4 million mt. Russian wheat prices increased to 251 USD/mt FOB Black Sea Region.
