AYDIN. Almost all of the growers' raw materials are now in the hands of traders and exporters. Tougher coronavirus measures are planned for the beginning of the year in Turkey.

Rising prices in the second half of the season

Market players report that farmers hardly have any raw figs left, as a large part has already been bought up by traders and exporters. Demand from the buying side is currently very subdued, so exporters are also no longer looking for figs, which led traders to lower their prices. However, the trade expects export prices to rise again in the second half of the season due to the shortage of available goods.
