CHICAGO/PARIS. A new outbreak of the African swine fever has been witnessed in southern China's Guangdon province. While Ukraine has decided to implement a new export quota for corn, Russia has lifted the export quota for wheat.

Swine fever in China eyed with concern in wheat market

Strong weekly exports have driven up US wheat futures. Last week's exports ranged at 523,901 mt, which is a sharp rise of 85.3% over the week before. Total US wheat exports have reached 16.01 million mt and only fall 1% short of the same period last year. China has released 4 million mt into the domestic market to stabilise prices.
