MALATYA. There is currently little trading activity on the Turkish apricot market. The devaluation of the Turkish lira is causing export prices to fall slightly and weather conditions in the growing regions have stabilised.

Farmgate prices remain stable

There is relatively little movement on the apricot market at present. Smaller fruits are still difficult to obtain, while there is sufficient supply of the larger varieties 1-3 and Jumbo. Farmgate prices are holding at last week's level, but export prices are declining. According to market players, this is mainly due to the repeated devaluation of the Turkish lira. However, prices can still vary significantly depending on the supplier. The average export price for dried figs, no 2, is currently USD 3,850/mt FOB Mersi
