DALIAN. In China, demand for shine skin pumpkin kernels usually increases from mid-December as buyers stock up for the Chinese New Year. This year, however, there are some delays.

Hope could be in vain

As Christmas sales in Europe and America are now finished, Chinese traders are reporting that the export business with shine skins is currently very sluggish. Demand on the domestic market usually increases in the second half of December, as roasters and retailers stock up on goods for the Chinese New Year; this year, however, there could be delays as buyers continue to hope for price falls.
