DALIAN. The Chinese market is completely overwhelmed by the upsurge in demand. With prices rising suddenly buyers have been prompted to purchase. The first suppliers have already reached their limits and are no longer accepting any new requests.

Suppliers are struggling

Market players report that supplies are sufficient for now. Some suppliers can simply not meet demand. They are struggling to keep up with processing for the export market and the first suppliers have started to withdraw their offers with the intention of returning to the market in August.

Other suppliers are, however, offering their products at considerably lower rates with the intention of selling off their stocks. The additional costs for cooling in summer has put many off from storing their products. It should be noted that the further price development not only depends on demand but also on this year’s crop.
