DALIAN. Luckily, some areas, in which China produces pumpkin seeds have been opened up again in Inner Mongolia. This helps purchases and logistics along. The situation is, however, quite different in the western parts of the region.

Farmgate prices nominally up

The market situation is nearly unchanged. Farmgate prices continue to rise slowly and have reached CNY 17.2-17.5/kg for Shine Skin and CNY 17.4/kg for GWS kernels. Export prices have, by contrast, declined a bit due to exchange rate fluctuations, lower freight rates and an uptick in supplies. Grade A GWS kernels are trading at USD 2,860/mt CFR EMP.
