BEIJING. Harvest is about to start in most Chinese growing regions, although rising coronavirus infections could lead to delays. Some market players are already offering first price indications for the new crop.

Lockdowns may delay harvest

Both prices for GWS kernels and Shine Skins are holding steady with only slight price declines for the old crop. Meanwhile, market players are completely focused on the new crop as the harvest has already started in some regions.
