BEIJING. Due to the low availability, shine skin prices have risen noticeably since last week. The new crop should be available in the coming days.

Wholesalers demand high prices

Compared to last week, there have been price increases on the shine skin market. This is due to the fact that most suppliers currently have no more stocks and are waiting for the new crop, while more and more enquiries are coming in. Most of the goods from the old crop are in the warehouses of two or three wholesalers, to whom suppliers now have to turn when they urgently need shine skin kernels. Prices are correspondingly high, with raw kernels currently trading at CNY 17/kg or even higher.
